Behind the "PROVIDER" Design

Updated: Feb 14

The Lord has provided...

When I signed up to go with FBC Clinton to Prague, I realized I was the youngest person on the team. I’m so grateful for the wisdom and experience of my teammates—God uses people of all ages for His purposes! At the same time, I saw the value in having younger team members for a teen camp. As I prayed for the trip, I felt led to reach out to others and invite them to consider joining as well.

First, my friend Morgan signed up. Then, I realized that I asked mostly girls; it would be more beneficial to balance that out. I prayed for two guys and two girls to join. Now, God has provided exactly that and more—three guys and three girls in addition to the eight committed before me. He is faithful. He provides.

And will continue to provide.

When I was talking with the new team members, they all brought up the same challenge—the financial hurdle we have to overcome. The answer is simple: the Lord will provide. Still, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have my worries. Yet, time and time again, He has shown His faithfulness in my life, just as He does throughout Scripture. That’s why the theme of provision kept coming to mind as I designed this t-shirt.

More than a Shirt

This design has a similar concept to the This is Truth sweatshirts I used to fundraise for my summer-long mission trip to Arizona. If you choose to support our mission by purchasing a shirt, I encourage you to wear it as a conversation starter in your own mission field. If someone comments on your shirt, it’s the perfect opportunity to share about God’s provision!

Here are some conversation prompts to help you get started:

💬 They might say:

  • "That’s an interesting shirt."

  • "Cool design!"

  • "I like that message."

  • "Are those fish on your shirt?"

  • "Why are you praying for Prague?"

  • "Is that a fundraising shirt?"

🙌 You could respond:

  • "Yes! It reminds me of a time when God provided for me. He…"

  • "Thanks! It’s inspired by the story where Jesus fed 5,000 with just five loaves and two fish. Matthew 14:20—‘And they all ate and were satisfied, and they picked up twelve full baskets of leftover broken pieces.’"

  • "Same! Luke 12:22-24—‘Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear… Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, yet God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than the birds!’"

  • "Just like in many other places in the world, there are people in Prague who need to hear the name of Jesus. Pray with me!"

  • "Yes! For over a decade, a church in Mississippi has sent a team to share the Gospel with Ukrainian refugees. There are many who need to hear the name of Jesus. They may not be there right now, but God is still working. He will provide if we are faithful to obey."

Wherever you go, may this shirt be a reminder that God always provides! ☻
