Potter & Vine

Sanctification

"But now, Lord, You are our Father;
We are the clay, and You our potter,
And all of us are the work of Your hand." Isaiah 64:8

"I am the vine, you are the branches; the one who remains in Me, and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing." John 15:5

"And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified." Romans 8:28-29

After we are saved from our sins, our story isn't over yet. God is working on, through, and with us as the Potter and sustaining us as the Vine.

Following a person's decision to commit their life to God, they begin a process called sanctification. This is where Christians are becoming more like Christ. The Bible refers to God as our potter, who is constantly molding and forming us.

God [the Son] is also the True Vine. From the beginning of time, mankind has been dependent on God. He sustains life. When a person comes to this conclusion, he or she can find true satisfaction and peace in Him.
